Lovely, lovely, lovely. Very comfortable, warm & relaxed in this gorgeous chalet with a view we would like to take away in the suitcases."
Knights, BristolThank you for a wonderful time here in this excellent house with a view to the sea, which we will always remember….We have managed to forget everything about our work and everyday life in Denmark, and that’s the best you can say about a good holiday."
Rasmussen, DenmarkA lovely chalet in a stunning location!! We’ve visited several of the Scottish islands over the past 4 years and Shetland and the chalet both exceed everything so far. This place has provided us with the final thing to tick off on our “wildlife to see in Britain” list….OTTERS. Go to the beach just below the chalet, close to the small waterfall, wait, be patient and be amazed!!”
Claire & Ian, KentWe had a “fine” time. Met lots of friendly Shetlanders. Shetland was more and more spectacular with every turn we made. We spent much time watching the seals and birds in the bay below. Our time here has been a joy. We will definitely be back!
Defelice family USA & Wisemans, EdinburghWhat a view to wake up to and only a stones throw from great days out….I even managed to catch a trout in the Fladdabister loch.”
Marrigan & Leiper, Dublin & ArdrossA lovely chalet with virtually everything we needed and more! Stunning views and a great central base for exploring Shetland.”
Taylor, GrimsbyAgain it was a wonderful stay in Shetland. We love this cosy chalet, the friendly seals down at the beach and we even saw otters from the window- playing in the sea.”
Deike, GermanyWe love Shetland! You just can’t beat the view from the lounge window – we have seen all sorts of “wild” goings on - starlings defending territory, newborn lambs at play, seals basking, rabbits, swallows, and lots of other birds. And best of all – otters in the bay!”
Alisa & James, StaffordshireOur third visit – can I say more? As good as ever.”
Finch, WiltsChalet as lovely as we remembered from 3 years ago – nice to see how well it has been looked after.”
Birch family, RenfrewshireThe Shetlands are magical…keep a sharp eye out for porpoises & killer whales….the seabird colonies are brilliant and the number of birds are hard to take in. Beaches are excellent and just a few miles south is the lovely beaches of Levenwick & St Ninians Isle, keep an eye open for curious seals.”
Cauchi, GlosWe searched for a quiet holiday with lots of nature, no rushing & no stress. We found it here in Shetland.”
Andy, John & Inge, BelgiumWe all enjoyed different aspects of Shetland….I was lucky enough to see 3 killer whales at Cunningsburgh with mum. Dad missed them..”
Gavin (aged 9), SheffieldWe have fallen in love with Shetland and look forward to returning when the birds return to nest. Up Helly Aa was a spectacle not to be missed. Watching the seals & walking the cliffs has been a delight. The really nice thing is that having spent the day outdoors braving whatever weather Shetland could throw at us, we could come back to a warm & comfortable “home from home” to relax in.”
Wells, NorfolkWe enjoyed our stay in Shetland very much! Thank you for the beautiful chalet – so well equipped & beautiful views! We saw birds, dolphins, seals, ponies…it was fascinating – great coastline, great sands, great golf courses!"
Catriona, GermanyLocation, location, location!”
Simmons, NorthampsWonderful place. Wonderful chalet. Walking & cycling to Sumburgh Head, Jarlshof, St Ninians Isle, & the local shore. Seals, fulmars, puffins, orcas, great skuas, early purple & common spotted orchids.”
Gault, DunblaneThis was the fifth of a series of holidays during which we plan to visit all of the accessible Scottish islands…..to date we give Shetland top spot. We covered at least 95% of the (excellent) roads and were rewarded by the most magnificent and beautiful landscapes & seascapes it is possible to imagine (and we are world travellers).”

Allen, Chalford St PeterI first came to Shetland when I was a boy in 1955…the call of the islands never left me & we returned 10 years ago & have been back frequently since. This chalet is by far the best self-catering we have enjoyed anywhere. Everything has been carefully thought our and the result is an exceptionally happy holiday.”
